Sunil Dutt (सुनील दत्त), 6 June 1929 – 25 May 2005), born as Balraj Dutt was an Indian Hindi movie actor (also acted in some Punjabi movies), producer, director and politician. He was the cabinet minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in the Manmohan Singh government (2004-2005). His son, Sanjay Dutt, is currently also a Bollywood Superstar[1].
Sunil Dutt, was born 1929 in the village of Khurd in the Jhelum District of Punjab, India, and his family settled in a small village on the bank of river Yamuna called Mandoli which is in Yamunanagar district of Haryana. Later he moved to Mumbai to fulfill his dreams.In Mumbai, he joined Jai Hind College as an undergraduate and took up a job.

- Dutt was a recipient of the "Glory of India Award" by IIAF, London.
